Ammonite keywords: evolution, continual change, life force, abundance, protection

Named for Ammon, the Egyptian god of procreation and life, these spiraled, and sometimes iridescent, shells have been collected and prized for their aesthetic and geometrical beauty for thousands of years, tapping into the naturally occurring magic of sacred numerology and the Fibonacci sequence.

But did you know that Ammonites are really fossils?
Not only are they fossils, but very powerful earth healing fossils at that. Before becoming extinct (around the same time as the dinosaurs) these predatory marine mollusks existed on Earth for some 330 million years. Scientists estimate that there have been between 10 to 20 thousand different species of Ammonites discovered.

The spiral shaped shell of these fossilized creatures symbolizes continual change and evolution. Ammonites are said to draw off all negative energies while also welcoming positive energy into one’s life. Energy flows in a spiral – the Ammonite shell is in the form of a spiral. Think of the Ammonite shell’s spirals as a filter, drawing in these dense energies which are no longer needed, expelling negativity, and re-releasing positive energy back into the universe. It should also be noted that Ammonites, like all other natural occurring fossils are associated with the Earth element and age-old intuition.

Ammonite is a protective stone, which gives stability and structure. It is also true that Ammonite’s have incredible Chakra representation; within the shell is a series of chambers with the siphuncle tube (which regulated the balance of water and gas in each section) connecting each of the chambers; the chakra system is quite similar. Ammolites (the thin, iridescent layers of the Ammonite’s shell) carry the full seven color spectrum of the chakra system, associated with each of the first seven chakras.

Having been collected and prized for their aesthetic and geometrical beauty for thousands of years, it is no wonder that these fossilized natural wonders are a favorite among serious crystal collectors and jewelry makers.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    About Copper Jewelry

Copper has been used in jewelry since ancient times. It is a pure elemental metal, and as such it is believed by some to have health benefits. Copper was highly prized be the Ancient Egyptians, and was prominently used in their jewelry
I create copper jewelry by using a process called electroforming. It allows me to make truly unique and magical jewelry, but it takes multiple days to create each piece. The jewelry you will receive has been plated for an average of 24hrs. making it strong and lasting. Due to the nature of electroforming there will always be imperfections, divots, or sometimes bubbles in the metal. These are not flaws; they are the characteristics that makes each piece one of-a-kind.

    How Copper Reacts to Skin

Slight discoloration can occur on the skin when someone wears copper. The marks wash off easily with soap and water, but their appearance can be telling about your body’s chemistry (in particular your pH level). This reaction can indicate that your skin has become acidic and has dissolved copper from the bracelet faster than the body can absorb it. This usually happens when we sweat, are stressed, experience dietary changes, or have a poor diet; think junk food/processed food. Green marks might also appear when the body is deficient in copper, and therefore it is trying to obtain it a rate faster than it can be absorbed. This is actually a great way to gauge whether you need to change your diet, increase your water intake,or avoid stress.

    Care Instructions

Copper jewelry will last a lifetime with the proper care. I recommend you remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising, or washing your hands. Water can accelerate oxidization.

All of my pieces are sealed with professional lacquer. However, as the sealant wears off with constant wear, you can easily reseal the copper yourself with clear nail polish.

Copper may tarnish as it reacts to your skin and your environment, but it can easily be cleaned. Copper will never rust or weaken.

Always store your jewelry in a cool dry place.

    Cleaning and Polishing Your Jewelry

I include a polishing cloth with every order. It will remove tarnish and bring the copper back to a warm rose gold color. The cloth I include is effective for heavy polishing, but please be aware that if your piece has a patina, that the cloth may affect the colors.

If you need another polishing cloth, please contact me. I will be happy to send you another.

A Note About Caring For Certain Gemstones

Please be aware that some gems need a little extra care.

The following stones can degrade when exposed to water or excessive sunlight: Turquoise (most notably) Kunzite, Amethyst, Opal, Larimar, Fluorite, Rose Quartz, Aura Quartz, Sapphire…. Just to name a few.

Often sunlight can fade a gem’s color or make it brittle over time. Kunzite is a good example of this and should be kept out of the sunlight.

Water damages porous stones, such as Opal.

    Processing Time

I will begin working on your order immediately, however it may take up to a week for me to ship it out.

Custom orders will take longer as I have to create your piece before shipping. Custom pieces may take up to 2-4 weeks in production, but my goal is always to have them ready as soon as possible.
